Ceramic Poppy Project

Every three years, our art room comes together for a very special project: the Ceramic Poppy Project. This is both an art experience for our students and a way to recognize veterans in our community.

This project is completed with our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Each student will create their own ceramic poppy, glazing it in a symbolic color of their choice. These poppies will be displayed together in a powerful installation for our Veterans Day Program.

Poppies will be available for purchase for $15.00 each. Proceeds go directly to support our art program, covering costs such as clay, tools, and classroom supplies.
Preordering is strongly encouraged so that families are guaranteed to receive their child's artwork. Any unsold poppies will be available for the general public to purchase after the Veterans Day Program.
Preordered poppies can be picked up on November 11th after the program or they will be sent home with the student.
